A recurrence of strange dreams has been plaguing fourteen-year-old Jaiden’s mind lately, and she wishes they wouldn’t. She has enough problems as it is, whether that be the difficulties of being biracial, or attempting to put words to her gender. However, when she learns that her best friend Mishaela has had the exact same dream one day, the two begin to take action, led only by the influence of a strange woman. Together, they are led to a strange place that is definitely not their suburban town, and together with other seemingly normal teenagers, they are thrust into a plan to free the residents of this place from a long-ruling dictator.
