Ziel dieser Studie war es, die Wirksamkeit der Zahnprophylaxe bei Pferden durch Messung der Fasern im Kot und deren Bedeutung für das Wohlbefinden und die Gesundheit der Tiere zu bewerten. Die Ergebnisse waren bei der ersten Zahnbehandlung eines jeden Tieres sehr zufriedenstellend, mit einem durchschnittlichen Rückgang der Fasern im Kot um 0,58 cm. Somit können wir die Wirksamkeit der Zahnbehandlung bei Pferden bestätigen, da sie Komfort bei der Fütterung schafft und die Darmpassage verbessert, was folglich Magen-Darm-Probleme reduziert.
