La idea de este libro es conjugar reflexiones sobre diferentes aspectos del planeamiento, su propósito o la participación comunitaria, como acciones y modelos preocupados por instancias de desarrollo local o redes de prestaciones de servicios.La combinación de ideas fuerza con la propuesta de alternativas sobre gestión y producción de los sistemas urbanos posibilita una lectura doble o por lo menos interactiva que habilita a pensar por oposición en planteos que se corresponden unos y otros o a imaginar nuevas propuestas en función del ideario planteado.Así se comentan modelos que indagan sobre geografías locales y sobre economías de recuperación, que intentan a su vez abrir horizontes de trabajo sobre espacios más cercanos. La preocupación en este sentido es poner la mirada sobre una realidad en la que es necesaria operar de una forma diferente, más artesanal y menos globalizante.Ahí están las preocupaciones y los deseos sobre un territorio teórico y real que debe ser explorado en profundidad.
