Jagadis Chandra Sir 1858-1937 Bose
A pioneering study in plant physiology, demonstrating that plants respond to stimuli in the same way as animals, through electrical and chemical signals. Bose’s experiments with measuring the reactions of plants to light, heat, sound, and other environmental factors challenged the prevailing view of plants as passive organisms and opened up new fields of research in bioelectricity and bioacoustics. This work has been selected by scholars as being culturally important, and is part of the knowledge base of civilization as we know it.This work is in the 'public domain in the United States of America, and possibly other nations.
