Este libro ofrece un panorama de diversas prácticas literarias experimentales en Chile en el nuevo milenio, pero sobre todo propone un modelo crítico y teórico para abordarlas. La “poesía en expansión” abarca obras que exceden los formatos y géneros literarios tradicionales para indagar en otras posibilidades del lenguaje como medio artístico. Aborda la exploración de las dimensiones gráficas de la escritura y sus diálogos con diversos tipos de imagen en la llamada “poesía visual”, el uso del sonido y la música en conjunción con la palabra en la puesta en escena performática de textos literarios, la resistencia al sentido en obras de carácter no semántico, la utilización de estrategias de apropiación y montaje de textos como procedimiento de composición literaria y, por último, las dimensiones materiales de las prácticas editoriales que interrogan las posibilidades del libro como objeto artístico.
