Shahid Ahmad Dehlvi
The monthly magazine 'Saaqi' published by renown Urdu laureate and translator Shahid Ahmad Dehlvi is his prominent identity in Urdu literature. The idiomatic language of Delhi and its chatter are the hallmarks of his style. Shahid Ahmed had power over the Taksali language of Delhi. He wrote two books about Delhi, ’Delhi Ki Bapta’ and ’Ujda Diyar’, reading which tears comes in the heart of every reader.
