My Masks Don’t Define Me: Finding Me Under the Disguises is for the every day person feeling lost is some manner of their lives. If you are getting caught in the rat race, other expectations put upon yourself or dealing with past voices... this journal helps define what masks you use to hide who you are. In this fast paced world we all get lost within the mad rushing to get everything done. The 24 hour clock just does not seem to be enough. So it makes sense that finding time, or making time for ourselves is mostly non-existent. In the first section there are exercises to assist you in finding your own voice among the ones that gathered through life, then take control of this inner critic to make it start working with you as a friend. They consist of affirmations, information about some aspect of the inner critic (pleaser, pusher, rule maker, and perfectionist), how the critic is your friend, and how to start having conversations with the critic to overcome confrontation with its enthusiasm. The second section is the journal pages to go with the exercises. It is asks questions of your work of the day and assists in making a 'Self-Care Resume.' I am not a doctor or phychiatrist... just a person who has seen my own and used these techniques to assist myself. Please seek assistance from a professional if you feel a greater need. When you talk things over with them, you will feel more strength to conquer the world and gather who you are. Good luck with your journey. May you find the peace within yourself to control who you are.
