Ce livre met en lumière l’importance de l’eau salée en tant que source d’eau potable, car elle fait l’objet d’une attention particulière de la part de la recherche scientifique en tant que principal fournisseur d’eau potable par rapport aux autres ressources. Par conséquent, nous présenterons toutes les méthodes utilisées pour le dessalement afin qu’elles soient valables pour l’utilisation comme eau potable et les applications agricoles. En outre, nous mettons l’accent sur les eaux usées des champs pétrolifères ou sur les eaux de production utilisées dans le secteur pétrolier. L’eau de production contient divers composants organiques et inorganiques. Par ailleurs, le déversement de l’eau de production peut polluer les eaux de surface et souterraines ainsi que le sol. En raison de l’augmentation du volume des déchets dans le monde entier au cours de la décennie actuelle, le résultat et l’effet du rejet de l’eau de production sur l’environnement sont récemment devenus une préoccupation environnementale importante. L’eau de production est conventionnellement traitée par des méthodes physiques, chimiques et biologiques différentes.
