La Antropóloga Olga Ruiz Quiñones, originaria de Chihuahua, Chihuahua, México, hizo sus estudios de Licenciatura en Antropología Social en la Escuela Nacional de Antropología e Historia, Unidad Chihuahua en los años 2002 a 2007. Durante este tiempo la autora hizo su investigación etnográfica en las colonias menonitas ubicadas en los municipios de Cuauthémoc, Bachíniva, Riva Palacio y Namiquipa, los cuáles se encuentran ubicados en la región Noroeste del Estado de Chihuahua, México, durante los años de 2004 hasta el 2007, con el propósito de elaborar su tesis de licenciatura, cuyos resultados presentamos y damos a conocer en esta publicación. Despues de realizar una investigación sociológica con el fín de estudiar como influye la religiosidad menonita conservadora en el desarrollo rural, entre los campesinos menonitas tradicionales que habitan en la Colonia Menonita Manitoba, Mpio. De Cuauthémoc, Chihuahua, en los años de 2011 al 2013, actualmente la autora cuenta con los títulos de Especialidad en Desarrollo Rural y Maestría en Desarrollo Rural, expedidos por la Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, Unidad Xochimilco, México, D.F.
