South County High hasn’t had a winning football season in recent memory. Determined to turn their losing streak around, quarterback Jimmy McGuire envisions a computer program that will help them design, run and view plays. The team raises funds to hire a computer expert and, at first, everything is going according to plan. Then, the plays generated by the computer are found missing-and start showing up with the opposing teams.Lieutenant Marty Mason is South County Alum and a pillar of the community. He isn’t pleased with recent rumblings of strange crowds and reports of possible gambling. Working alone and with the help of his best men, Mason sets out to get the bottom of the mystery.
