He completed his B.S. in Biological Sciences at UC Irvine, continued Arabic studies in Egypt, and earned an ’Alamiyyah degree (Masters in Arabic and Islamic Studies) in Pakistan. He also holds multiple ijazāt in hadith, certification in Islamic finance, and completed his PhD at the International Islamic University of Malaysia in 2024. Shaykh Furhan now serves as Dean of IOK Seminary, a Seminary Instructor, and a University Chaplain at UC Irvine. He has authored numerous works on tafsīr, hadith, and foundational Islamic disciplines.
