Maulana Abul Kalam Azad is famous as a personality who was second to none in writing and speaking. It seems like the words are seen standing in front of Maulana Azad with folded hands. 'Ghubar-e-Khatir' is the last book of Maulana that was published in his lifetime. In other words, this book is a collection of letters written in prison, but the attribute of ’letters’ is rarely found in them. The prose of these letters is so beautiful and heartwarming that almost every reader can easily understand it. This book consists of three letters selected from ’Ghubar-e-Khatir’./مولانا ابو الکلام آزاد ایک ایسی شخصیت کے بطور مشہور ہیں جو تحریر و تقریر میں اپنا ثانی نہیں رکھتی تھی۔ لفظ مولانا آزاد کے سامنے ہاتھ باندھے کھڑے نظر آتے ہیں۔ 'غبار خاطر' مولانا کی سب سے آخری کتاب ہے جو ان کی زندگی میں شائع ہوئی۔ کہنے کو تو یہ کتاب جیل میں لکھے گئے خطوط کا مجموعہ ہے لیکن ان میں مکتوب کی صفت کم ہی پائی جاتی ہے۔ ان خطوط کی نثر ایسی شگفتہ اور دلنشیں ہے کہ تقریباً ہر قاری کو بآسانی سمجھ میں آ جاتی ہے۔ یہ کتاب ’غبار خاطر’ سے منتخب شدہ تین خطوط پر مشتمل ہے۔
