Extracto de la gramática mutsun es un libro de Felipe Arroyo de la Cuesta que analiza la lengua de los mutsumis, una comunidad india en la que se estableció la misión de San Juan Bautista, en 24 de junio de 1799, a unos 40 kilómetros al noroeste de Monterrey, en el centro de un valle fértil. Hacia 1831 eran unos 1.200. Felipe se presentó en la misión de San Juan y recolectó la información necesaria para escribir este Extracto de la gramática mutsun:W. W. Turner afirmó en la Revista Histórica (vol. 1, pág. 206.) que:«El lenguaje Mutsun es claramente semejante con el Rumsen o Runsien, una de las dos lenguas que se habla en la misión de San Carlos, y con el de la misión de La Soledad, más al sur, parece emparentado también con el lenguaje de los Olhones Costanos de la Bahía de San Francisco (…)».
