Amparo aprendió a apreciar la diversidad y singularidad en todos.  A la edad de 15 años, Amparo enseñó Inglés como segunda lengua a niños de 3 años de edad en un colegio pre-kínder. Siempre le fascinó la inocencia de los niños, alegría, vida, libertad y pureza. Siendo una joven tuvo la oportunidad de enseñar Inglés como segunda lengua a niños de diferentes edades en una escuela pública. Amparo reside en Estados Unidos y ha vivido en diferentes países de Sud-América donde tuvo el privilegio de servir en comunidades rurales. Amparo desarrolló y participó en proyectos educativos y socio-económicos en Perú, Brasil, Chile, Argentina y Bolivia. Estos proyectos incluyeron la participación de niños, jóvenes, mujeres y familias.
