Guillermo Arango (Cienfuegos, Cuba, 1939). Cursó estudios de arte y es licenciado en Literatura Española y creación literaria por la Universidad de Loyola, Chicago. Se ha dedicado a la enseñanza, ha ejercido la crítica cinematográfica y colaborado en teatro. Tiene publicados cinco poemarios el más reciente, Tribunal de sombras (Betania, Madrid), es del 2010. Ediciones Universal publicó su libro de cuentos Gatuperio en 2011. Su pieza dramática Todos los caminos, recibió el Premio Internacional de Teatro Alberto Gutiérrez de la Solana 2008, auspiciado por el Círculo de Cultura Panamericano. En el 2012 Ediciones Universal publicó su libro El año de la pera. Tradiciones, relatos y memorias de Cienfuegos, presentado en la Feria Internacional del Libro de Miami en ese mismo año. Es miembro del PEN Club de escritores cubanos (Exilio).
