In questo lavoro viene studiato l’utilizzo del sistema di pompaggio diretto nelle reti di approvvigionamento idrico utilizzando un sistema di controllo PID per il controllo della pressione delle reti di distribuzione dell’acqua, tramite un gruppo motopompa azionato da un convertitore di frequenza. A tal fine è stato utilizzato un banco sperimentale strumentato che simula un sistema di approvvigionamento reale (LENHS/UFPB). L’efficienza idroenergetica del sistema di pompaggio diretto è stata valutata sulla base di test effettuati utilizzando lo scenario convenzionale (senza regolatore) e impiegando il sistema di controllo in situazioni di massima e minima richiesta. È stato inoltre condotto uno studio di caso nella zona di pressione del serbatoio R-11 (João Pessoa/PB) al fine di dimostrare che l’implementazione dell’inverter di frequenza può generare guadagni idroenergetici nel sistema di approvvigionamento. I risultati ottenuti hanno dimostrato il successo del sistema controllato, in quanto l’uso del controller accoppiato all’inverter di frequenza ha consentito di ridurre le pressioni di esercizio e il consumo di acqua. I risultati sono stati positivi anche per il caso di studio, in quanto si sono ottenuti risparmi energetici e riduzioni delle pressioni fornite.
