Amanda Dagger is an eleven-year-old Sherlock Holmes in pink converse sneakers. Freddy Dash is the class clown, baseball star and school detention pro. The unlikely friends team up again when an ancient skeleton is unearthed on school grounds under suspicious circumstances, and all fingers point to three spinster sisters known in town as the Riverbend witches. It’s the beginning of sixth grade and Amanda plays Lady Macbeth in the school play while Freddy practices for the championship fall baseball game. But their lives become more complicated when the school is vandalized and a stranger stalks them on Halloween night. Amanda and Freddy must uncover the secret behind these strange events, before they become the next victims.
