Esta obra proporciona una visión cercana, personal y emotiva de la Semana Santa sevillana. Comencé a escribir las primeras páginas durante el confinamiento por COVID-19 gracias a los audios extraídos de las conversaciones telefónicas con mi querida amiga andaluza, Loli. Ella compartió conmigo sus más íntimos y detallados recuerdos sobre esta celebración declarada Fiesta de Interés Turístico internacional sin pensar que, mientras tanto, yo transcribía todo lo que me iba contando. Tras dos años de trabajo terminé conformando una recopilación, en forma de diario, entre las memorias del pasado y del presente. Mi nombre es Mathilde, soy francesa y aunque nunca experimenté físicamente esta festividad incomparable con su permanente olor a incienso, cera y azahar, gracias a las vivencias de Loli la sentí vibrar dentro de mí. Ambas hemos vivido un momento extraordinario de nuestras vidas que deseamos compartir a través de testimonios cargados de emoción, las fotografías de Salvador J. Domínguez Pérez y el reflejo de nuestro amor incondicional por Sevilla y su Semana Santa. Bajo el mismo cielo azul, unidas, ambas nos hemos ayudado mutuamente a curar nuestras heridas para seguir celebrando la Semana Santa de la capital andaluza. Desde nuestras ventanas hemos disfrutado del sol y sentido sus rayos, aunque estábamos cada una encerrada en su propia casa, alejadas pero más juntas que nunca. Aquella primavera sin aroma de azahar en Sevilla es, en definitiva, una declaración de amor a la Semana Santa que no se pudo vivir ni celebrar en 2020. 10
