Près d’un siècle plus tard, la communauté académique continue d’honorer le Dr. Price-Mars, le reconnaissant comme le précurseur essentiel qui a osé explorer les vastes et fascinantes frontières de l’ethnologie sur Haïti. Si de nombreux ouvrages sont venus enrichir le corpus depuis lors, leurs auteurs ne manquent jamais de témoigner publiquement de leur dette intellectuelle envers son travail fondateur. Nous avons choisi de republier l’édition originale de 'Ainsi Parla l’Oncle' telle quelle, car nous sommes convaincus qu’une œuvre d’une telle valeur classique doit demeurer inchangée pour que sa puissance historique et son authenticité résonnent pleinement.
